Sunday quiet ;well gabbing on the phone, playing on the computer, the neat apple game my sister sent. Anyone remember the Atari game Ka-Boom?  My all time favorite and yeah I was champ with that lil ol mad bomber.  Rolled over the numbers one time but each time I closed my eyes to sleep that night, I saw the bombs dropping hahaha.  The apple game is similiar and I saved it and play it for “one more time” which leads to an hour or so!!! 

Once hubby got home he watched mama and I went and got my haircut finally.  Oh nothing better than someone shampooing your hair, and making it look great.  Well can’t prove it this morning, a terrible case of bed head right now, hahaha.  I am calling it my “Halloween Do”  until I hit the shower and do something to tame it.  At least it’s not all scraggly like it was, I let it grow out too my.  At my age no long hair for me.

Today will be normal, nothing going on but then watch out !!!  Tomorrow is pick up hubby’s prescription, get mama to the eye doctor, stop at Home Depot for insulation, and Jo Ann’s for material, then home for no dout 1-800-DOMINOS  after running all day. 

Wednesday it’s get the pool closed up and winterized, move all the lawn furniture, take down the awnings, hubby has to go to the dump and get any and all heavy work out of the way.

Thursday is hubby’s surgery so it’s sit at Madigan for God knows how long, then come home and tend to him as well as mama’s needs.  From there on out it will be two invalids for awhile, yikes!!!  So you can bet I am going to take advantage of the calm today and relax, maybe knit some, sew some and hopefully finish up my puzzle, it’s almost done.   I know this week will be nuts but not much I can do about it.

Also Ashley’s car should be ready by mid to end of the week so with hubby out of commission for a few days, haha until the drugs kick in at least, I will be doing the running.  Take Ashley to get her car, return the rental car etc ugh just the thought of it tires me out!!!!  Am I up to all this?  Well not much choice really.  The kids will have to step up to the plate and help when they are home.  Between school and work we don’t see much of them so yeah it’s all me!!!!

Naturally I am still going to have my computer time and read all the blogs like I do everyday.  Hey isn’t that what the potent pain pills are for?  To knock out the patient and give the “nurse” a break???  Yah I think it is.  And dang it, I want to shove a pill down him, prop him on the wii-stool we have and tell him just move your right hand hahaha I WANT TO BOWL!!!!  Darn that will be out for a day or two, cause he won’t sit up too well with all the drugs I intend to hand him!!     Men with a boo boo , hey you would do the same thing right???

So I am going to savor today and hit the floor running tomorrow, should be an interesting week don’t you think?

Dang I love it cause this makes the 3rd one for me and mmmm NIL, Nadda, NONE, Not Even One, for hubby on our Wii. Oh hush, we aren’t counting the NINE perfect games he has on Bryce’s Wii!!!! What matters here is ME!!!! ( JK but it’s so much fun to rub it in to him)

Yesterday Ashley went to Idaho to that dang show she got tickets for. Yeah a show in Boise, but she figured it would also give her a weekend with Brandi and family. So Brandi drops her off in downtown Boise at the place and Andy was going to be the one to pick her up. Worked out great as it was a school night and the girls do have a bedtime.

Ashley finds out the show is cancelled !!!! Yeah no joke. Four bands were supposed to play and apparently two of the bands didn’t show up and two members of another band were ill. Ashley said she didn’t want to have Brandi come back so she hung out side as some of the band members put on an acapella show for their fans. Freezing cold and snow in Boise too, but Ashley hung out. Then she got talking to the lead singer and told him she flew over from Seattle for the show. He told her they would get her in the show that is sold out over here, but unfortunately it’s Sun night ( I think) and she would still be in Idaho. She said they just chatted for a bit and he asked her why she was still there, seeing how the singing was over etc. She told him she was waiting for her uncle etc . So, he says to her “well come on and warm up and wait in our tour bus” When she told me that my first words to her were “You went on a bus with some band and all guys, are you nuts??” Her answer “Aunt Brandi said you would say that” haha she knows me well!!!

Thanks goodness for Ashley’s sake it was on the up and up, they let her stay on the bus til Andy found her. Haha I say found, cause he wasn’t expecting her to be hanging out with the band, thank goodness for cell phones, huh?

Ashley said she met the two singers that were sick and got a tour of the bus, said it’s awesome, and they  just hung out and talked until Andy showed up. Did she have her camera with her??? Hell no, and I thought I taught her better than that!!!! She did get autographs and said her evening was far better than standing there watching some show!!! The band is We The Kings, which hey I have no clue who they are, never heard of them but one of her favorite bands.

Anyway she got to Brandi’s safe and sound and one happy girl!!!!!!

Bryce has applied for several jobs and has a few people talking to other people etc. One is for Boeing and one for Costco. It’s not what you know but who you know, so we are keeping our fingers crossed. But hey he is looking all ready and that’s another ray of hope. I am keeping positive thoughts and pushing any negativity out of my head. As long as the path is going in the right direction things will work out. That path being JOB!!!!

We even had a little “re-bonding” time around mid night last night. Yeah I TRIED and I mean TRIED to play Rock Band with him. Oh geeze, haha a drummer I am not, can’t follow all those lights and hit the drums at the same time, then they toss in a pedal thingy hahaha. The guitar yeah I can do that cause I play Guitar Hero 3 alot. Singing hahahaha okay I so can’t sing, sound like a frog with a frog in his voice!!! But I did master two songs, whew. That is a very difficult game to play and I finally gave up a little after 1am!!! I tell you I am too old to be playing video games and watching movies til the weee eeeeeeeeeee hours of the morning, but I can’t seem to stop!!!!!

So on a dreary, rainy windy day wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy out here in Washington, and after a very upsetting  beginning of the week, yeah I think maybe I do see a light at the end of the tunnel!!!!!

You also know I have wii wii itis right?  My arm hurts, my back etc if I get too carried away and really lob the controller!!!  But hey that’s all good, cause I get a massage every two weeks.

So the other night I was watching the news and heard that the younger girls are getting breast implants before heading off to college.  yeah really, can you believe that one?  It was either the news or Good Morning America, one of the two but mmm it got me thinking.  Just like when I buy shoes, I have to buy a pair, but can only wear one, due to having my gimp of a thing called a foot, dangling from my leg.

So where am I going with all this you ask??!!! Okay I will tell you, I am like UH OH big time now!!!  See I am left handed, so naturally bowl with my left hand, therefore building up my left breast!!!  Follow me so far? You know what they say, “we must build our bust” yeah well by me being the Wii freak I am, it should be a huge hummer before long, don’t you think????  Anyway my uh oh is I will have one huge hummer and one “wii wii” boob!!! yeah, so do you think I would be locked up if I went and got only one breast implant???  I would tell the doctor to help my “wii wii” breast and make it the same size as the left one!!!!  Would I get charged for half a surgery or a whole one?  See this Wii is going to cause some problems down the line, so uh oh what do I do?  Don’t even THINK about telling me not to bowl, no way is that going to happen.  I so need my “wii wii” time, trust me on that one.  I guess I shouldn’t panic until I get my huge breast huh? Suppose it’s wishful thinking on my  part???  We shall see in due time.

Another UH OH for me.  Sweet Kellie gave me the nice award!!! Yeah she really did, surprised me and I felt humbled, but now I feel uh oh!!!  I have to be nice??!!!!  Do I Kellie?  I try but mmm at times I can be “not so nice.”  I don’t like being that way but feel in some circumstances I have to be.  But Kellie I will do my best to live up to the award and I thank you for it.

It’s been a long day and now I am plunked on the couch. Mama is all settled in her chair, with the dog on her lap and content.  Her crying spells weren’t quite as bad today as they have been, so I pray they lessen each day.  I do what ever I can to either console her or to get her laughing but mmm some days it’s hard to get through to her.  Damn disease anyway I so hate it.  But I so wouldn’t change my time with mama for anything in the world, not even to have both feet again, you know?

Someone sent me an email, in fact I got it several times, but it still hits home.  It was about an old man hurrying to go see his wife.  The nurse said to him, if she has altzheimers, she wouldn’t know if he was late, or not there, because she doesn’t know him.  His reply was “well I still know her.”  yeah that is exactly how I feel about mama.  She has no clue who I am, no idea where she is, nothing, but she is my mother and I know her and I know why she is here.  I will do everything I can to keep her happy, clean, fed and healthy.  She will always be involved in all we do, even if she doesn’t remember.  She has fun in the “moment” and that to me is worth everything.  If you all could hear her laugh, you would fall in love immediately.  Her smile and her bright blue Iris eyes would catch at your heart and you too would do all you could to make her happy.  I know  you would also do the same for your own mom or any one you know that needed you, right?  Of course I’m right, cause all you bloggers out there are fantastic.

I am not a very faithful writer on here but do want you all to know I check your blogs every single day.  Do you know how much I hate the weekends? You are all busy or something cause I will check and NOTHING!!!  I miss the days  you don’t post something.  I am always trying to read more and more blogs, yeah I cheat.  I click on some for each of yours but mmm rarely comment.  I wonder do they want me to comment?  They don’t know me why would they want to hear my comment, etc. Total insecurity on my part, cause I am new to the blogging world, don’t know the protocol yet I guess.

So I am spoiled I know, got my new refrigerator today.  Yeah I am loving it, just waiting for it to get nice and cold so I can switch out the food.  So right now I have two of them in my small kitchen.  First thing in the morning we will switch out and put the other one in the garage for now.    If it sells fine, if not, that’s fine too.  I can always use more room especially on the holidays.   Selling would be better of course cause mmm yeah I saw the dishwasher that would match my fridge just perfectly!!! Hahaha see I just want and want and want, how bad is that????  I know real bad but that’s me!!!  The PX was having a sale on appliances and as a bonus we also received a $100 gift card for purchasing today!!  Sweet huh?  So that hundred and with what I have stashed away, yeah that dishwasher is looking “almost” like MINE!!!!!!    Next  to convince hubby but awwww he is such a push over, I am so sure I can without much trouble.   I know I need to wait til my ancient noisy hummer of a clunker breaks down and I am trying honest I am, but mmmm there are some nice ones at the PX, and no tax helps tons.   I am trying to behave and to restrain myself,  I can do it, hahaha I hope!!!!

Well seeing how I ramble on and an on guess I will spare you now and try to get some knitting done before it’s “wii wii” time.   Dang I love to “wii”

It has been busy and believe it or not there were a few days I was only on here  long enough to check emails and ship off a few pictures, then shut “lappie” down, too tired to do anything.  Hubby had Mon, Tues and Wed off this week and oh my gosh, we worked and tried to get alot accomplished, but funny didn’t even complete ONE thing!!  That’s so frustrating to me because I know how tired and worn out I was.

We started in the front, staining some more, finally fixed all the railings and cleaned up the porch.  Not complete though as we can only stain certain parts by the door so we can get in and out.  So blocked off an area and STILL have to put another coat on, and then start on the last little bit of the gray part.  I cuss for sure wondering why the builders even used PAINT on that nice wood.  I swear the year they built this place, there must have been a great sale on gray paint!!!  Those guys painted everything in sight gray, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.  Tired sanding it but ha that stuff is stubborn and not wanting to come off.

So from the front went to the back to put up the new awning, it’s up but completed?  Noooooooooo, it still needs to be anchored down to the deck, which hubby says “on my next day off” haha sure!!!!  Bet that doesn’t happen!!!  From the canapy to the pool to clean and vacuum and get it set.  It that complete??  Another no!!!  Discovered yeah we have a slight algie problem, and so had to get down and get that bottle of “gold” as I call it, due to the price, to toss in there. In the meantime hubby vacuumed and yep clogged the hose, basket and filter so much, the pump shut off.  Alot of crap from the winter in there, even with the winter cover on.  Pool cleaning STILL in progress. I guarantee it will be clear blue water though, I so don’t like even a tinge of green showing!!!
From there is was over to the far deck to start the staining.  Not completed, we ran out of stain!!!!!!  Have more now, but have to just get the energy and the “want” to get started on that job again.  Yeah I know I will start it, but guarantee hubby will be finishing it.

Garden ,  mmm all right that is the one and only thing that did get completed.  Yep my lil ol garden is in and I am watching it and telling it to grow every day!!!!  I will baby it and talk to the plants, weed it, you know make sure it does grow.  But ewwwwwwwwww did see not one but TWO slimy fat ol worms when I was tilling it.  I was very good though didn’t run, but did what I was supposed to do.  SCREAMED for hubby to come and get rid of those suckers.  He told me they are good for the garden. That’s fine, but they don’t need to come to the surface just to torment me!!!!  I don’t like any critters or weeds in my garden!!! And everyone wondered why I put those bricks between the rows.  Yeah, that would be for me to step on and not get near the “critters.”

Lawn, front mowed, not edged.  Back oh my it’s a jungle out there!!!!  So busy busy busy for three solid days, exhausting to me and yet disappointing because we still have so much to do, to complete it all.

You all know if you work outside, the inside of your house just goes to hell!!  How does that even happen??  No one is inside, so it has to be lil  gremlins that love to make messes all over.  I come inside , look around and tell myself “tomorrow is another day!”

Mama has been a sweetie during all the projects going on.  I haven’t ignored her and did get her up at her regular time, made sure she was showered, her hair done and she was well fed.  But then poor baby could just watch hubby and I.  I had her hold a pole, or a brush just something to keep her involved and not feel ignored, but I am afraid I haven’t given her the 100% attention that I normally do.  She seems fine though thank goodness.

So today promises to be another beautiful day, so I will put on my ol grubby clothes and start staining some more, after I check the pool and make sure that is looking better.

Hopefully one night hubby will shampoo the carpets for me, as they need it soooooooo bad.  I have a zoo of animals don’t forget and the carpets get “ugh!”  With people coming for graduation week- end I want the inside nice and clean too, so it looks like the work is just on going.  And believe it or not, I haven’t had even one HAPPY NAPPIE in ohhhhhhhhhh forever!!!

So we plug along trying to get things done inside and out, plus I still found time to shop yesterday.  Did get my granddaughter’s birthday gifts finally.  Hard figuring out what to get her, so decided to make her a birthday box.  I will wrap a big box in birthday paper and just add stuff to it.  I found a bucket of birthday play dough, haha cause after cruising Toys R Us, that’s all she said she wanted!!!!  Tough turning 6 huh?  Got her some of the pets for her little pet shops, a beach towel, outside toys, a pet shop stuffed dog that whines, haha yeah it’s annoying, but what’s a birthday without a noisy toy??  Got her a doll, a horse with the brushes and beads etc, a sketch pad with pencils, and a bunch of little toys to wrap up for the box.  That should keep her busy the 3 weeks she will be staying here.

Have to brag on her older sister Mikayla for a minute.  They had the 5th grade “celebration” yesterday and Mikayla received top student award for the quarter, and also awarded the Presidential Academic Achievement Award.  Complete with a letter from the president and a nice pin to wear.  Go Mikayla!!!!  She had also tried out for the “Willow Creek” ( name of her school) Idol contest and won in the dance category, so got to perform in front of all the kids and parents.  Then she had joined a book club after school.  They had to write a story and the school put that in the hardcover, which Mikayla drew herself, so she also had a “book signing” after the assembly.  It was a Mikayla day for sure and when she called me, oh the excitement in her voice!!!  She made this grandma very proud of her, that’s for sure!!!

Okay enough of my ramblings huh?  I think I will get off here and finish up my mountain of laundry, then head outside to do something.  Maybe I will put on paper all that needs to be done, draw one and tackle it, hahaha.  One way to get it done, huh?
